Water repellency for concrete floors and façades
Komsol Hypro is a deep-penetrating, non-film-forming surface protection treatment developed for all types of concrete
and leveling floors. Designed for professional use, it creates an invisible, hydrophobic barrier that significantly
reduces water absorption and spills – without affecting the surface’s natural structure or appearance. This makes Komsol
Hypro ideal in environments where long-term stain protection is essential – from residential and office spaces to
industrial and technical facilities.
Komsol Hypro is particularly well-suited for modern self-leveling screeds commonly used in residential and commercial
projects, where dense, absorbent mineral substrates benefit from protection without altering gloss or tactile feel.
Komsol Hypro penetrates deeply and chemically bonds to the substrate, providing a vapor-permeable barrier without
forming a visible surface film.
Komsol Hypro dries quickly – typically within 20–30 minutes – leaving a matte, non-sticky finish. Application is carried
out using a low-pressure sprayer and a fine microfiber mop, making the product a practical and time-efficient choice for
flooring contractors.
Komsol Hypro is a water-based, VOC-free formulation without harmful solvents. It has been evaluated from both health and
sustainability perspectives, making it suitable for use in green building projects. On surfaces exposed to heavy
mechanical stress, Komsol Hypro can advantageously be preceded by a primer treatment with Komsol SEAL to enhance
abrasion resistance (by more than 60%!) and extend the service life of the floor.
Whether protecting screed floors in new construction or sealing concrete surfaces in technical facilities, Komsol Hypro
delivers invisible, long-lasting protection with minimal maintenance – while preserving the natural appearance of the
concrete.
