About Komsol

Since 2001, we at Komsol have worked with concrete protection and waterproofing – always with a focus on long-term function and durability. We develop, produce, and deliver mineral-based treatments for concrete structures exposed to moisture, wear, and aggressive environments. Our products are used in infrastructure, housing, public spaces, and industrial facilities – in both new builds and repair projects.

Komsol Group consists of regional offices in Sweden, Germany, and Spain, supported by a network of trusted partners worldwide. Our organization is lean and efficient, with the flexibility to provide support both locally and internationally.

Our research and product development are based in Kungshamn, on the Swedish west coast – a marine environment where concrete is constantly put to the test. There, in direct contact with the climate and the materials, we formulate and refine our products. Everything we release is tested under real-world conditions and verified by independent, accredited institutes.

Over the years, we’ve contributed to projects ranging from skateparks and schools to bridges, parking structures, and critical infrastructure. Among other things, we’ve protected the exterior concrete around the nuclear reactor core (Wet Well) at Forsmark 3 – a reminder that concrete protection is not about image, but about trust.

Our work is based on a deep understanding of the material – and the stresses it is exposed to. This includes moisture diagnostics, damage assessment, surface preparation, and application methodology. We often work closely with consultants, engineers, and contractors from the early stages of a project – to identify the right protection method, not just a product.

Because products alone don’t solve problems. It’s our team’s knowledge – of concrete behavior, deterioration factors, and environmental loads – that ensures long-term results. Combined with proven methods and high-performance products, that knowledge is what makes the difference over time.
